Tom is a retired engineer whose career in reading aloud began some 40+ years ago, when his children became old enough to enjoy a good bedtime story. Not one to miss an opportunity to perform (to a captive audience), we read anything from Dr. Seuss to Cinderella and everything in between. Always an avid reader, Tom soon grew tired of reading after many years of night college classes and many, many technical books. Reading children’s books aloud was the perfect release, both for my children and myself. Time marches on, and my children are gone and married with children of their own. Tom’s reading aloud has moved on too.

Since that time, Tom has taken up writing.  A fan of old-time noir radio mysteries like Philip Marlowe and Sam Spade, Tom writes the Cole Harper mystery series.  On this site are samples and free first chapters of his stories. I hope you enjoy listening to them as much as I do writing them.
